There was this one story late 1800's very early 1900's where a group of women in a cloth/flour/rudimentary assembly line factory ish...had an encounter with a rodent, or one of them did.

ONE woman got a massive fright because....she became hysterical and hyperventilating and carrying on like the world had ended right then and within an hour to several, other women among the group became unbalanced and hysterical in sympathy...to the point where they could not work.
