we get different shapes of that color often in the spring thru summer. Nothing new.. why.. I am not sure.

That was pretty stupid to standing out in the open with a high amount lightning in the area.

Yeah, lightning can strike anywhere 20 miles away from a storm.They are maybe 2 or three miles away.

Shitty camera didn't puck up colors dmfrom distance. It's clearly raining in from and the sun is behind them.

Do we know if they got hit by lightning after the clip? Because the heat, the static, those are all warning signs before a strike.

Not sure why they expand in real time. Never saw a rainbow expand like the one in the video. Typically they just fade away in place.

His bare feet got hot because lightning had struck the ground nearby, and the heat from that strike radiated out to where he was standing.

Then the fat dopey guy walks toward the storm, where a charge is definitely building on the ground for a strike, and his hair indicates this by standing up. The woman cackles.

I am speculating that the arch comes from the setting sun's light diffusing through the coming storm, which can produce a lens effect.

Might be a fogbow

I had two theories, one is the rainbow because inside the rainbow, the sky is always, in my experience, lighter in color. Because as an artist Ive taken tons of photos for later landscapes, I noticed over Lake Superior, we get similar effects but none as effective as this which looks like the moon moving in on the earth.

My second thought was some times over L. Superior when the atmosphere is just right and around sunset, the moon can look really large because the conditions act as a magnifying glass.
