Brutal, but there's something odd about that video. At :32 the cop is on the ground. After the guys walk in front of the camera he magically is in a very different position.

He is obviously struggling with the officers who are attempting to arrest and he is doing so VIOLENTLY. This could have easily resulted in the perp getting one of the cops guns and shooting them.

Was it excessive? We weren't there but just looking at the video and taking into account what was happening it appears to me the officer used the proper amount of force in order to subdue a very dangerous person....

There are a lot of good police out there, but as long as they don't report abuse by fellow officers, they're just as complicit.
