I would terminate all "sales aggreements" with Pfizer, and cancel any IMF loans with covid response conditions.

Wellington mayor Andy Foster said he was speaking regularly with police and Government at the highest level over the “unprecedented occupation” [by protesters], and had spent most of Saturday morning in discussions related to the protest.

“Obviously, our powers and resources are very limited and not remotely capable of even scratching the surface of something of this scale,” Foster said.

It is time for Kiwis to wakeup to the farce that is voting in this so called democracy. You get a vote but the party councils choose the candidates. Very few seats change hands.

We need to create a system whereby each electorate chooses a favourite son candidate. A well respected local with impeccable credentials.

For anyone who doesn't know, the police tried to end the occupation at parliament grounds by protesters last week by violently arresting 122 people.

Now the protests are three times the size at least and still growing.

The police say they can't do anything and the army won't do anything either.

New Zealand sailing legend Sir Russell Coutts has confirmed he will attend the anti-mandate protest at Parliament next week.

In a post on social media, the Olympic gold medallist and five-time America's Cup winner said he is vaccinated, but against vaccine mandates.

“I'm also strongly opposed to the ever-increasing erosion of our human rights and the growing limitations on our freedom of choice,” he said.

He called the Government’s Covid-19 rules “irrational”. It’s not the first time Coutts has expressed similar views, accusing the Government of ‘dictatorship’ over Covid-19 restrictions last year.
