It's not so much that anyone has to announce any of it. Satellite surveillance etc is good enough that it's hard to hide certain things especially on a very large scale.

I'm not convinced that ALL OF THIS isn't a distraction to keep people from asking what china's doing right now though.

I wouldn't put it past NATO and the Biden administration to hide china's war preparations to take Taiwan until after the Chinese launch so they have an excuse for why they didn't defend Taiwan and let it fall.

The reason this is on my mind is because as bad as Russia stomping out Ukraine will be for stability and the supply situation going forward, Taiwan would be an order of magnitude worse and immediately plunge the western powers and nations into an instant ultra crisis.

While I somewhat agree in general, on the Russia Ukraine situation the Russians have definitely moved up and are 90%+ in position.

There is actually a pretty finite amount of time you can push and hold this many forces this far forward before their combat effectiveness and etc starts to degrade.

If something is going to happen it will happen quite soon.

The airline insurance companies revoking all Ukrainian aircraft insurance after a couple days from now says they have extremely solid Intel on about when this will happen.

There's also the Russian vote in the duma on accepting Donetsk and Lugansk into the Russian federation on the 14th.

There's a side of me that really wonders if this is the sideshow to keep our eyes off something even bigger elsewhere in the world though.

I'm glad they told us it was Wednesday because calendars are really hard to find anymore. And expensive.
