Quoting: Anonymous Coward 82157315 GONE BY LUNCH TIME is an old joke in New Zealand when a prime minster or leader of the opposition falls so out of step with the public they risk making the party fail. They're quickly rolled and a new leader elected from within the party. All blame is put on the one sacked. Horseface will not survive this. That's why I said she'll be GONE BY LUNCH TIME. I give her a week at best. . Last Edited by Mad Kelly on 02/13/2022 03:48 AM |

The odds are s/he'll resign or be ousted, taking the flak (planned that way), then some other piece of shit will step forward to say "Oh well Cindy just wasn't up to the task but s/he tried her best." They won't be any better of course. I'm guessing s/he's already been asked to step down but has refused. |

The New Zealand police said the ONLY way to resolve the PROTEST is to negotiate with the PROTESTERS !!! The politicians are now divided and turning on each other Quoting: Mad Kelly "It is almost 24 hours since the Speaker turned on his speakers and the protest crowd are still booing and shouting and jeering every single time his recorded trespass warning airs. His tactics have copped criticism from Act leader David Seymour, who said the Speaker needed to grow up. "All MPs have chosen to ignore these protesters, except for Mallard who has waved a red rag to them. "Trevor Mallard needs to leave the response to Police. It's not for politicians to interfere with silly pranks." Mallard has not yet commented on whether Police approved of his decisions to use the speakers or set off Parliament's sprinklers on Thursday night. However, Cyclone Dovi has had no more success in shifting them than the Speaker: the worst of the weather has passed, the rain and wind have stopped and there is still a sizable and enthusiastic crowd. Just before 4pm, protesters at Parliament set up big black marquees along where the police line was on Wednesday. They have now set up a speaker and are playing anti-vax statements through it. The protesters are also trolling Mallard by playing Baby Shark on their own speaker. Some have spotted him through the window and are waving cheerily. [link to www.nzherald.co.nz (secure)] . Baby Shark is pretty good, even if it is music for 3 year olds! . DON'T VAX, PROPHYLAX! ____________ There is no anger in Me: If one offers Me thorns and thistles, I will march to battle against him, And set all of them on fire. But if he holds fast to My refuge, He makes Me his friend; He makes Me his friend. (Isaiah 27:4-5) |

The New Zealand police said the ONLY way to resolve the PROTEST is to negotiate with the PROTESTERS !!! 'Acting like a kid': Opposition MPs criticize Speaker Trevor Mallard's actions against protests. “I think people are wondering what on earth the Speaker is up to, crowdsourcing songs from the Internet and turning the sprinkler on all night seems to have strengthened the resolve of the protesters rather than de-escalated, and then it turns out he wasn't even coordinating with police” National Party Covid-19 spokesman Chris Bishop said. ACT Party leader David Seymour said Mallard, who turned to Twitter for song suggestions, “seems to be acting like a kid in a very adult situation”. Wellington district commander Superintendent Corrie Parnell said The use of music and sprinklers was “certainly not a tactic we would encourage and endorse, but it is what it is. It happened.” [link to www.stuff.co.nz (secure)] Last Edited by Mad Kelly on 02/13/2022 02:56 PM |

The New Zealand police said the ONLY way to resolve the PROTEST is to negotiate with the PROTESTERS !!! Just on the news now. Quoting: Mad Kelly The Ministers of Parliament what to insult and belittle the protesters and have them removed, but the police said a resolution is only possible by negotiating with protest leaders!!! Finally some common sense. "Mallard’s efforts to move protesters on with sprinklers and loud music is an out-of-date tactic which won’t work, police’s former lead crisis negotiator Lance Burdett said. “We have to come together and talk – now is the right time,” Burdett, who has also qualified with the FBI, explained. “The longer it goes, the harder it becomes to resolve.” [link to www.stuff.co.nz (secure)] Government's job is to represent the people, NOT to pacify the people. This is a good step which should be followed by EVERY western government. Embrace the cognitive dissonance. |

Former deputy prime minister Winston Peters has thrown his support behind some of Parliament’s protesters, joining a cohort of former MPs calling for an immediate end to vaccine mandates. Peters, whose populist NZ First party was voted out of Parliament at the 2020 election, has on Monday said the Government’s vaccine mandates should end immediately to allow people to return to work. “Those who are anti the mandates have a serious point ... The New Zealand police said the ONLY way to resolve the PROTEST is to negotiate with the PROTESTERS !!! Sustaining the protesters that have besieged Parliament is an off-site kitchen running out of an empty auto-mechanic shop, staffed by volunteers and laden with food. The makeshift kitchen on Grant Rd, Thorndon, was on full-flight on Monday afternoon, with a team of volunteers cooking on at least three barbecues, surrounded by shelves and crates of donated and bought food. The blockade has only grown, pea straw has been spread to combat mud, wet clothes have been laundered, gumboots handed out, port-a-loos have been filled and emptied, and rubbish bags carted off in trailers. Protesters have been organizing rides down the North Island to join the protest, calling for donations of money, food, warm clothes, and strategizing how to pipe water from Parliament’s sprinkler system – turned on by Speaker Trevor Mallard – by using hardware from Bunnings. The protesters have arranged their own services, without sanction from Parliament or the city council. Hirepool has been supplying port-a-loos to protesters and emptying them regularly. When approached, general manager Gary Richardson said he did not want to comment. The events at Parliament have “mobilised sympathisers”, rallying a support base wider than those at Parliament, Wellington district commander Superintendent Corrie Parnell said on Sunday. The protesters have been inundated with support, and on Monday put out a request: “There is an overwhelming amount of donations and these needed sorted [sic] before we require more”.
