REACHER

Season 2 commissioned, no surprise. Hopefully Tripwire or Persuader. Should make for excellent viewing if they treat the books like they did season one.

Reacher was awesome.

The violence in it was really something to make you think, because it is all done so deservedly yet with no real thought of the value of human life.

You did bad, now die. Simple, clean, with no worry about whether this person might reform someday...the point is now and right now you're awful and there will be no remorse or even a pause at your death.

I think the time is coming where this is and should be the way for a bit.

I've read all of the Reacher books. They're good, twisty stories with some violence and a very unique main character. The Tom Cruise Reacher movies are ok, but he is NOT in ANY WAY, Jack Reacher, who is 6'5" and 250. His size is part of the story. I consider Tom Cruise and Jack Reacher's 2nd cousin who shares his name and wants to be like his cousin, traveling around, solving mysteries and fixing problems, usually physically, because he's a 6'5" 250 pound ex West-Pointer Army Major MP. But Reacher's 2nd cousin is only 5'4".

The dude in the TV series is JACK REACHER. If you read the books, he's what you see in your mind. They even choreograph the fight scenes (and there are plenty of them) so Reacher fights like he does in the book, with sheer overpowering strength.

If you've ever wanted to just get rid of all your possessions, and roam the country on your military pension, without a suitcase (the only thing I miss from the books, so far, is Reacher's only possessions being a wallet with no driver's license and a travel toothbrush) beating the crap out of assholes who are committing crimes and/or being assholes, Reacher's your guy.

Basically, Reacher isn't Deadwood, The Wire, Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul, but it's good entertainment.

The movies are good too, just think of Tom Cruise as Jack Reachers short 2nd cousin.

Season 2 may be too soon, but I want to see "The Enemy." I think they plan on it, because they don't really show Joe, and they drop the reference to Reacher's mother, with the medal (not sure how they're going to explain that, given we're way past her being old enough to have been in WWII). The books jump around in time a little, which is good, but I'm not sure the TV audience would be able to appreciate that.

Otherwise, Tripwire and especially Persuader WOULD be good.

I think he means "Orphan Black."

That IS good. Tatiana Maslany is AMAZING. She plays like 20 different characters.

Watch that.

And yea, I watch a lot of TV. Part of the job.
