Simple way to fix this annual problem: Every organization inclined to celebrate black history with food just needs to put it up for a vote and let the people who are going to eat the meal vote for the fried chicken. They love bitching about alleged racism as much as they love fried chicken, so serve them fried chicken, but let it be their idea. And if they want to vote for steamed broccoli to show how PC and vegan they are, serve them that and laugh at their woke asses while munching on the deliciousness they could have had.

I love fried chicken, but couldn't stand a month of it.

The Chinese kick it up notch, as do the Koreans.
The Cantonese do a really nice deep fried chicken that they serve with a seasoned dipping salt as well as the green onion/oil/garlic/salt/chicken bouillon sauce.
