They are used by rich folk as assets and money laundering. As an artist im quite objectionable to the whole idea of selling my digital art as NFTs, i dont think i could ever do such a shameful thing. I would however say invest in crypto that is used for NFTs, such as ETH. |

Artists finally have a chance while they’re still alive to make a name for themselves besides protecting their work no getting paid for it, how can I lose! We all have our opionions, and yes they dogged out Bitcoin in the beginning too. Times are a changing, jump on the train (not the Trump train). MrsTomatoHead |

I would however say invest in crypto that is used for NFTs, such as ETH. My wife, “as an artist”, has her masters in fine art. Has worked on high dollar projects, installations and festivals. Ok money but it’s still slaving away for someone else. Now since NFTs she is finally making good money. Drawing completely original digital art pieces. Doing what she loves to do. And she’s an art snob like no other. But she gets it. As much as you’d like to convince yourself that you’re an art snob and “above it all” you’re actually just an idiot. No one will see your art in the future. You’ll continue raising you nose up at those shameful NFTs as you watch other artists flourish and prosper. And after it’s all said and done you will have a wallet with tokens and NFTs from various companies. You will have a constant ‘hand to forehead’ motion every time you open your wallet and every time someone mentions an NFT. At some point you’ll finally realize the reason you were never successful as an artist is due only to your arrogance and not thinking outside of the box as an artist should. Your ego has been warned friend. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 76509910 United States 02/02/2022 09:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Let's not give a damn and watch it implode beneath their very feet. This has to be the utmost in stupidity. If some idiot can have his kid scribble out a monkey before school at the breakfast table, digitize it, and declare it worth 1.4 million dollars, then Trump should be able to value a leaf from a tree on one of his own properties worth what ever he wants and New York state can kiss his ass. Talk about opportunity to launder money, or evade taxes this is it. I could sell a million dollars in drugs and the government never know about it, give it to some rich dude that already paid tax on a million dollars, now take his million out of the bank and put it in the garage. He gives me back my million in drug money for a digital monkey picture my nephew drew, i now have my drug money legally, the rich dude has his million buy the government never knows. The two of us spilt the tax bill i owe and wait nine months and accidentally erase the monkey and write off the million dollar accident to the IRS, and rinse and repeat. Amazing world we barely survive in...can anybody draw a monkey ? |

Amazing world we barely survive in...can anybody draw a monkey ? Stop embarrassing yourself. Your rant only validates that you have no clue about NFT's at all. Not all NFT's make it and your kid would probably not make it with his Monkey Drawing. You are not so much investing in the drawing, but the artist and the road map of the project. GLP isn't the best when it comes to money. That is why everyone on here is broke and pumping SSRI's constantly. |
