School Shooting Richfield, MN

RICHFIELD, MN — Police responded to the scene of a shooting near a school in Richfield Tuesday afternoon.

Special Agents from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives are among the law enforcement officials at South Education Center in the 7000 block of Penn Avenue South.

It's not yet clear if there were any injuries. However, Rebecca Brannon — an independent journalist, shared a photo from the scene showing backpacks scattered outside the school on the sidewalk and blood in the snowbank.
