Anonymous Coward User ID: 81710445 United States 01/31/2022 02:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Few issues with cryto. 1) People need an electronic device to access them. 2) If there's a SHTF scenario access via the net will most likely not work properly. 3) Hardware and software is 100% corruptable 4) It's binary, meaning it doesn't truly exist and one EMP and everyone's information is not assessable. 5) Digital networks have constant legacy issues 6) If people are starving, tired, and chaos ensues crypto will be the last thing they will use as a currency. They'll be trading in food and real things that keep them alive and are useful to survive. Unless people are completely blind we are heading in the number 6 direction really fast. It may not be mad max, but it will be something way different than we have currently. |

Substitute the word INTERNET for CRYPTO and all of your statements are still equally as true... and yet we have the internet. Also, only 10% of the circulating supply is physical. Everything else is digital in the exact same way (only worse) as crypto is. Are you better positioned for the future understanding the importance the internet will play or is it better to ignore it and say its 'useless.' "Anything worth doing is worth doing badly." -G.K. It's not useless by any means, but if things go down people may not be able to use or access their crypto. Look at the chip shortage we currently have now. Technology breaks down rather quickly and needs to be replaced, so if supply chains and production are cut how exactly are systems repaired or replaced? Internet is a fragile network regardless of what people may want to believe, I'm only stating worst-case scenarios because I personally always prepare for the worse. |
