Not good when the power goes out in winter...and there is so much snow you cannot drive on the roads.
I`ve dealt with it here...but it is different in the sticks vs. people stuck in the city/burbs.
Hope people have a plan.

Like Texas last year, could be a lot of busted pipes, but I would think people that far north would have alternate heat if the power goes out. We'll see.

The plumbers here are still backed up from the busted pipes last winter.

February is usually our coldest month in Texas, so god only knows what is in store for us.

If you live in an apartment building which most do, you have the heat they give you.

If it goes out, it goes out - end of story.

2ft of tide surge isn't much, but combined with a near peak high tide could cause some moderate flooding.

When I was a young man in Baltimore,
a blizzard came through, burying the city.
The morning weatherman, Marty Bass, got on-air
and announced it was SO BAD, the police couldn't
even get around!

HOLY SHIT!
By afternoon, the city businesses were
buying new plate glass windows.
The news crew managed to get out to witness
TVs and other electronics and anything
"carryable" if that's a word, going down the
streets in the arms and on the backs of the
happy natives of Baltimore City.
