Both OTC and prescription medication shortages are one of the biggest threats headed our way.

BTW, a couple of months ago a nurse from my insurance company told me that insurance may no longer pay for prescription sleep aids like zolpidem in the future because in their wisdom they feel like antidepressants work just as well and will want people to switch.

Just a heads up.

Thanks Avenger! My pharmacist told me 8 months ago, they are having to order a lot of their regular meds, from India.

Due to China cutting way back on shipping ingredients used to manufacture the meds here.

Plus my Dr. told me that insurance will soon, not be covering some of my meds. The pharma companies are pushing Doctors here, to switch people over to "new" meds they want pushed.

I have good insurance I bought as an addition to what comes with social security. Plus "GOOD RX" is sometimes less than my insurance on meds. My pharmacist checks GOOD RX pricing on all my refills to help save money.

This is going to get tough for a lot of people.

It seems they will be squeezing us in every way possible; food, gas, medicines, etc.

I never even thought to check GOOD RX. Thanks for that tip.
