Mr. Martin knew very well the West, through the Roman Catholic Church and its deluded Western emperors and kings, were claiming a position - Vicar of Christ and Emperor - that did not belong to them. The legitimate line and center of Authority moved from Rome to Contantinople, when Rome and Western Europe were largely wiped out in a plague - and then on to Moscow when Constantinople was finally overrun in 1453 - with lots of help from Rome that had, by then, tried to reconstitute itself and illegally claim the Throne.

Ever since, the West has been in a state of terminal collapse and disintegration.
