I wouldn't take cash as a bank either. There is no point to deposit cash , just spend it. Only reason to deposit cash is money laundering if you dont have a business account. If its not in a U.S bank by then you lose it all. Foreign governments will have a little longer to redeem their currency holdings but any bills older then 2007 will be considered nonredeemable.
