By "servicing" you mean installing telemetry updates? (spyware)

I still use Windows 7 on my laptop.
No updates after april 2016 when MS betrayed their customers and started installing malware "updates". They call it "telemetry".

Fuck Microsoft

Re: Is MS still servicing Windoze 7?
Windows 10 uses 30gb or so hard drive space just to install, and about 4gb RAM to run. Updates can be large, 10gb or so. Make sure you have enough RAM and hard drive space or it becomes a real pain, can't even update some of these newer low-end laptops. Most RAM is easy to update, a few clips and pop the new one in. A bit more expensive nowadays though, and have to verify it matches exactly (DDR3, DDR4, 1Rx8, 1Rx16...).

They say no but the sonsabitches over rode my long standing DO NOT UPDATE settings a couple weeks ago with a 'security update' that slowed my W7 machine to a crawl until I found it and yanked it the MFers. No way am I installing anything newer, it's SHIT.

You need to disable the windows update service, along with some other services.

I may have installed it on that one back in the day.

Don't remember.

I'll have to take a look.

Might have been a previous laptop.

Thanks for that. I still run Win7 on a couple of computers and will NEVER give M$ another cent or "upgrade" to any other MS product. Moved everything else to Linux, but I still use a couple of video editing programs that need 7.
More deplorable all the time.
