I'm happy that you came from an environment where you were not groomed as a little girl to be a sex object. Or you were molested at a young age and felt up by family members, or school kids. And you didn't have to work in an office where men would constantly make sexual comments and advances. You are lucky!

These things have no socioeconomic boundaries yet happen every second of the day to girls. Most don't have nurturing to even understand their periods, or how to fend off men. Everything isn't peachy out there in the world.

Providing safety for women should be the highest priority in the US, yet... it's not. If only some of the efforts to fight against legal opposition of rights would be used to protect women... the time would be better spent.
