If you're stuck on .22, it has a lot more power with barely more kick and holds three times the rounds. I think Ruger just came out with their own .22 mag model, too? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81914980 i would look into a 22 revolver, this calibre tend to jam in magazine fed guns and a revolver is more versatile since it usually shoots the magnum rounds. for more than target practice in this calibre, that is what i would buy. |

Cleaning is much easier, which is a big deal. Quoting: elktonpat However, I traded my SR22 for a Taurus T-22. High capacity, extremely accurate and easy to clean. Cheap extra mags also. This guy is right, for some reason Taurus knows how to make a 22LR semi-auto that just works. I've had issues with jams and stovepipes when using the more expensive guns. Not sure why Taurus does it so well. |

Walther is picky on what you feed it a lot of 22s are. The Ruger ate everything I feed it my only beef is the crazy long trigger pull before it breaks. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80608214 Pay attention to this! ^^^^^ I also had the same problem with the Ruger. The feed ramp seems to be a too steep of an angle. My Ruger would only cycle rounds when it was extremely clean. After 75 or 100 rounds you would have to clean it again in order for it to run right. I sold the gun. If you want one that runs right, look at the M&P .22 compact. When you look compare the feed ramp to the Ruger and Walter. On the M&P, the round lines up from the magazine almost directly with the chamber. Therefore it works. Mine will cycle everything you put in it with the exception of some subsonic ammo that doesn’t have enough powder to run the gun. |
