My mom broke her hip today :(

My grandma broke hers at that age and did recover. Surgery is so much less invasive these days (and less traumatic) than it was in years past. So something that 2 decades ago might have had less chance of recovery isn’t necessarily the same today. Prayers for you and your family.

P.s. I have two friends who have broken bones in recent years. They both swear by drinking as much organic bone broth (think soup, tea ( great simmered with fresh ginger and green onion, etc). Supposedly it gives the body help with the building blocks it needs to rebuild bone.

So sorry - prayers sent - this is my mother's story - too - right now.

It is so heartbreaking.

I know woman who is 98 and has had four hip replacements. Don't know if she ever broke her pelvis, but despite four replacements, she is still walking, golfing & sharp as whip.

I buried my mom today.
She started going down hill after she broke her hip.

She is in surgery still since 10 am.

She’s still in the hospital.

She’s having issues with confusion.

Also had a spell where her BP dropped very low.

Will have to go to rehabilitation when ever they release her from the hospital.

I still can’t go see her.

I missed a call from the charge nurse and wondered why she was calling me when there are already 2 close relatives up their daily that can actually visit.

I’m already getting the Covid vaxxx vibe from this call.

I’m the reason she hasn’t had the vaxx so I’m sure they are calling to sway me to let her get it.

Not happening!

Definitely keeping you all in my prayers!!! THank you for the update! The confusion is probably from pain pills so be weary of this… they keep people so drugged up it’s hard to think straight..
