Russia is a third world hell hole with an even more oppressive and parasitic "elite" than the USA.

If Putin were such a good leader more than half or Russia wouldn't be living in depraved poverty.

It's his border, we shouldn't be involved there.

Check out the net immigration flood of Ukrainians moving to Russia especially. Holy shit, it was like a wave to Russia ever since the NATO coup.

I spent a week in Russia!
I was on a college program called
Semester at Sea.
It was Fall 1993.

Our ship docked in Odessa, Ukraine.
From there many students went to Moscow or St.Pete.
Not me.
I wanted adventure.
So, I joined a very small group who went deep
into Siberia (Why...why not?)
The city we went to is named Krasnyorsk.
It is a Military Industrial City.
I was there in late November.
It was freezing COLD!

I have plenty of cool stories just from that trip
Let alone the entire Semester at Sea journey.

In 1993, our group was the first Americans in
Krasnyorsk since at least 1917.
The Berlin Wall had only recently come down.
As I recall, there was some kind of brief
Coup attempt, with tanks, in Moscow I think?
Anyway, when you consider I grew-up in the 80's
with the Cold War...and that was serious shit.
To be so WELCOMED and LOVED by the Russian people
It was very cool (and some hot Russian college girls too!)

But we did go to a Casino one night.
And it was all fancy, like a James Bond movie.
Some of our guys won "too much" money
and they had to give it back...all of it....
Or else some very large men in typical European Leather coats...kindly informed my friends that if they did not return the money, they were going to cut their balls off.
I had less to worry about, because I did not have much
gambling cash to start with
and I crapped out quickly.
Some of my friends...let's just say they came from wealth.

The Russians were proud of their technolgy
and I was taken to a University where they showed me stuff
that no American had ever seen in person.
Damn...I drank so much vodka with my host family.

Enough!

I like Putin.
I like the Russian people very much.
I like the Russian Orthodox Church.
I like Russian pride in their homeland.
Russian military history.
Russia's space program {even on a flat-earth}
Russian women can be very attractive.
And the Ukraine/Russia issue is long
and complicated.

But I strongly side with Russia.
Biden sides with Ukraine.
General Millie sides with Ukraine.
Nancy Pelosi sides with Ukraine.

Who do you side with?

Russia would do better if the sanctions were lifted. Let's just leave Russia alone! It's not our problem.
