Activision, Blizzard and Activision Blizzard are 3 different companies.
 Quoting: ))Tem Ohp Ab((

Actually you are wrong. Activision bought Blizzard publishing back in 2008. They are separate divisions of the same company but Microsoft did indeed buy activision and since activision owns blizzard now they own them

They are seperate division and according to Microsoft will operate as seperate divisions but they are not different ones

Since both companies are in portfolio of the same hedgefunds and it happens that Company A has a lot of losses and Company B a lot of income to avoid some taxes they decided to rewrite some. In the result the same guys control everything and government(people) will get less money from taxes, plus they will get rid of duplicate positions. This is how it works folks.

It's Blizzard.

Think WOW.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77597664

It's not Blizzard, it's Activision Blizzard. It's a separate entity
 Quoting: ))Tem Ohp Ab((

They're still in charge of WOW though I thought. Blizzard puts their logo on that, but Activision Blizzard is the real host company. Unless I'm mistaken.

Blizzard is the publishing arm...they still use the logo and name as they are a seperate division of Activision which bought Blizzard in 2008.

Now Microsoft has purchased Activision Blizzard who added Blizzard to their name after the acquisition in 2008. They both operate as seperate divisions. Now Microsoft has purchased Activision Blizzard and their division Blizzard.

Microsoft says they will continue to operate as game designer, publisher as seperate divisions just as they have in the past

Just remember though...............

Google were set to buy Twitch.

Then Amazon swung in...

On May 18, 2014, Variety first reported that Google had reached a preliminary deal to acquire Twitch through its YouTube subsidiary for approximately US$1 billion

On August 25, 2014, Amazon acquired Twitch Interactive for US$970 million in an all-cash deal.

That's funny, since Blizzard and Microsoft are still on my fugitives of Israel wrath list.

And now they merged perfectly.

Will they pull Call of Duty games from Playstation though? They make a lot of money.

My guess is you will be able to buy the game on Playstation but not on their new Gamepass whatever it's called (this should be obvious) but of course it will be on Xbox Gamepass.

Microsoft will probably exclusive it wouldn't pay 70 billion to not try and sway users to buy their tech...

Cod games are ass and have been on their way out for a long time anyway...

He ain't playing fair with his jab money, buying up loads of companies for the exclusives
