"it's too late" The moment you die, it is too late. And people unexpectedly die every day, young and old alike. We are seeing this now, more than ever in modern history. Christians often sound like doomers in trying to convey this fact, but it is done out of a sense of urgency that is born from a love for our brothers and sisters in humanity. We want everyone rejoicing before God on the Lord's Day. God is not a stalker. His arms are always open to you, but He will not force you to spend eternity with Him. He gave you the free will to reject Him, because a forced love is not love at all. You have only to turn to Him, and accept the free gift Jesus gave you, and put your full faith in Him. You must also turn from sin, which is what the true meaning of repentence is, because otherwise you will just be one more hypocritical Christian. This last bit is the part that most non-Christians have the hardest time with because they think sin is fun. Sex, drugs, "Do as thou wilt". But you are a spirit married with a body. When your spirit is hungry, and you are living in the flesh, all your body can do is offer you momentary gratifications. The spirit remains starved, and begins to sicken. We see millions and millions of people living like this today...flitting ftom one immediate gratification to the next, and still remaining spiritually miserable. It is no wonder that billions of antidepressant pills are sold every year...and they still remain miserable. Only God, through Jesus, can feed your spirit. |

So similar to what the Muslims believe should happen to unbelievers, isn’t it. So which religion will be first to eradicate all of its unbelievers I wonder. After the Tribulation, Jesus will return to earth as a mighty King with the armies of heaven to destroy all those who have rejected Him as Savior. The forces of evil will rally the nations against Him. There will be no bystanders—the entire earth will be involved. [link to www.davidjeremiah.org (secure)] |

He went after the hypocritical elders, which is a big reason they wanted Him dead. Oh, and He beat their money changers and flipped their tables out in front of the building, because Jesus clearly disliked the monetization of faith. Religion has got nothing to do with God, because religion is built by humans. Jesus tells us exactly what we need to do, and OP is right... Because Jesus does say that we each have a cutoff date for salvation, and that is the date that you draw your last breath. If you haven't chosen to belong to God by then you, by default, have chosen to be cast out of God's presence. |

"it's too late" 8-9 years from now is the end of all things when the outside of the earth is destroyed by fire and by that time most of the world's population will have died from many reasons. Death is when it is too late for each individual. |

Religions have no real power there except what we give them through our strong belief, and in the afterlife those beliefs are relatively temporary as we gradually learn the truth and move beyond them, everyone at their own pace of course. |

Although most religions in general teach and help their followers to be good people and do good unto others, they can also cause some followers to focus only on belief in their god or religion that matters most and actions don’t matter. That is what I call the ‘bait and switch’, where when you get to the afterlife it is the sum of your actions that did matter after all and not what religion you had, especially if you professed to believe but did not live up to those beliefs. In the afterlife you will only point the finger at yourself, not at others anymore. Last Edited by 936432979 on 01/18/2022 10:21 AM |
