I stick with GEN 3s, and most of the parts are interchangeable. I am a GLOCK Armorer and GLOCK Instructor. Been around them for almost 30 years. Glock 20 is my go to road trip gun. Great choice and good enough for bears!!! Wild boar is my concern. |

The wheel gun I am most interested in and probably going to buy is this: RUGER LCR Hamerless 9mm Revolver. Great gun. Moon clips make reloading fun too when having a range day. I can't say which I prefer "more"... hammerless or with hammer when it comes to small revolver... BUT I do like the quick pull you can have out of a coat pocket in the winter from a hammerless. Enjoy it man! I would use it as a back up in close quarters or even grappling scenarios where deadly force was justified. No hammer would be best for this, especially if firing from a jacket pocket and no hammer that can be interfered with by the bad guy. Moon clips are an AWESOME plus. Would go with the 9mm because that is what I have with me. |

I can tell from your post, you've never actually held a real gun much less shoot one. I have to agree with you. Also, the ones who choose a high caliber gun must think they're hunting elephants. Are they going into combat? I don't think so. And, if they are....bring a long gun. Kapesche?? . |

Literally impossible to argue with the ubiquity, reliability, and parts availability for Glock handguns. Have a 19 and a 43. Like them both. I do prefer the sight acquisition / raise of a 1911 or similar angled grip. But 30 round mags, All the roni stuff, etc. They are great. I suppose since this is a CCW convo I will keep my thoughts to the 43. I love the slim profile of the 43. Love it love it love it. Great sized gun that still has a decent capacity and packs a punch for a single stack of it's size....but gotta be honest and this could just be totally in my head, I often appendix carry and don't like that trigger on the 43 with one in the chamber pointed toward my stuff.
