Dying with something and dying from something are two, totally different, things.

Take for example, the person who was killed in a motorcycle accident. He was found to test positive, post-mortem, for covid. He was listed as a covid death and not from massive trauma from a high-speed collision. I take it that you do not count this man's prior critical health condition (massive trauma due to high-speed motorcycle collision) to be a contributing factor in his death but it was, in reality, the positive covid test that was the cause of death? I find it sad that you would only count the covid as the cause of death (which was, in fact, listed as this person's CoD).

Now they actually differentiate between those hospitalized BECAUSE of Covid from those who were hospitalized for reasons other than Covid. Hospitalizations BECAUSE of Covid is roughly one half the reported number. I'm sure this applies also to those in the ICU and those who have died.

They would have died with the "flu" or from a cold in any other year.
