Comments in this thread are basically all right, and wrong at the same time.
Yes the SCOTUS ruled a stay, however, they pushed it back to the state level, so companies that are situated in liberal states, and have liberal bosses will suffer still. Can they eventually sue, sure but winning case laws will need to be established first.
Quoting: Mangia And those states have regulatory agencies they can abuse with more power the OHSA? Nope. They will have to pass laws that are subject judicial review with the BoR firmly incorporated against them. The best proxy we have to understand this is Jacobsen. Everyone should read it. It doesn't say what Libs claimed it does and lays out a clear test that the [non-solution thing] fails. That precedent also resulted in a one-time $5 fine. It's been two years. No one has written a law. Not CA. Not NY. Not DC. Not the Feds. It's all abuse of nebulous "emergency" authority because, as we have suspected, the [non-solution thing] has another purpose and none of these cowards want to be bag holders. Quoting: StarF so if people pay that 5 dollar fine from back then, think it's 152 dollars in modern amount counting the inflation then means people can buy their vaccination status, the penalty for not taking the jab right? question translated from that Jacobsen ruling
