It's better to have an option between jobs that require vs. jobs that don't the alternative was every job with 100 or more people would require it. And then the next bill would have required jobs with less than 100 to require it.

If anyone sues an employer for having a mandate, the suit is 100% guaranteed to get tossed out on a 12(b) motion to dismiss here in the US. Not that anyone here knows what that is, but suffice it to say, the suit won’t survive long. I don’t totally disagree BUT that was not a requirement prior to employment. There will be merit on that fact. If they did a no vax no hire that’s different My guess is there’s nothing stopping them from mandating the vaxx midway through employment. I can’t think of any legal reason preventing them from doing that.
