I know that ethics and tradition were trashed several years ago when the Supreme Court made its decision regarding same-sex marriages. Normally decisions are kept totally secret until their official announced. But staffers of the Obama White House apparently got wind of the SSM ruling well before it came out.

It was already demolished when I was just a kid.I remember my Dad reading the Newspaper at supper and he always read good stuff out loud and after supper we could discuss the news. He read that that Margaret Truman was going to play the Piano but the legs of the baby grand were sinking thru the floor, held up only by the carpeting.
That made Harry Truman(Or as Dad called him, "give 'em hell Harry" very upset so he moved his wife, Bess, and their daughter out of the white house, into Blair house and had the white house COMPLETELY GUTTED right down to the outside planks.
It was in terrible shape and all of the electric and plumbing were severely out of code, it had to be rebuilt from scratch.It took about four years, it wasnt finished till I was in grade school.
