China warns Walmart and Sam's Club over Xinjiang products
The ruling Communist Party’s Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) accused Sam’s Club of boycotting Xinjiang products and trying to “muddle through” the controversy by remaining silent.

“To take down all products from a region without a valid reason hides an ulterior motive, reveals stupidity and short-sightedness, and will surely have its own bad consequences,” it said on its website.

how could china get mad at a random company from another country?

you know..there is this food court in china that has a restaurant that stopped getting its cod from the yangtze river, so I think i should start an international conflict about it.

is how it comes off. it's weird to someone who isnt involved in it

Re: China warns Walmart and Sam's Club over Xinjiang products
Perhaps someday China's string pullers will realize it might just be their own stupidity and shortsightedness and face the consequences of flooding the global market with piss-poor quality standards in products and gross carelessness in utilizing toxic, hazardous manufacturing processes and wages that equate to slave labor.

Not to say that China is the only east asian country that is guilty, but the cat is out of the bag and more and more Americans in particular are waking up and specifically shopping for goods that come from anywhere but China.

Walmart doesn't retail to Chinese, they retail to Americans, and their customer base doesn't want Chinese shit anymore.
