FULLY VAXXED! It's easy for you to talk tough now against the vaccine, but they tried to make one as fast as possible, and the Phizer and Moderna are better than no vaccine. I am 66 and in my childhood I knew kids that had polio and arms that didn't grow properly.... I'm sure they wished they had the vaccines that fought these diseases, but their parents were as stupid as the anti vax parents and people that are talking tough now.... Many of them now regret not getting the vax as they die in the hospital.... the vaccines aren't perfect but they give us a chance to survive, isn't that the most important reason to get it? To survive? Who will be remembered that talked tough and refused the vaccine before their death? You have a choice, die for a right wing talking point, or live to fight another battle.... The polio vaccines were based on time tested vaccine technology. They offered sterilizing immunity. The devastation associated with contracting polio was a vastly different probability than with COVID, with an infection fatality rate scantly above the seasonal flu, and less so by age cohort and comorbidities. Can you discern the difference here? You put your finger on a key point by mentioning your age. Age is a comorbidity...not the top one, but in the top four. COVID deaths can largely be attributed to possessing four or more comorbidities. The policy approach was grossly flawed, whether deliberately or not. |
