Too much in the west. People like to prevent fever with medicine. This is not always a good thing.

That rise in temperature is important. The body can actually handle high Temps for days.

Its your bodies way of powerfully destroying... Literally cooking the free radicals in your body.

When people suppress the fever with paracetamol or aspirin for example. This is sometimes not so good.

Why?

It prolongs and allows for the principle free radical to incubate and further spread in the body.

Meaning that by preventing your body from entering a fever stage. It causes the infection to take over. Which actually will make the patient worse.

When I have had fevers. I always ride the storm. It's often like waves. But you can actually in a weird way enjoy it as you know that is body fighting hard.

When I have had fevers. By letting the fever have its way allows me to recover very quickly. As my body is naturally dealing with the foreign intruder of an infection into my body...

Do not worry about fevers and high Temps. It is important. I have known personally people with extremely high Temps for 5 days in a row. It probably saved there life actually. And there SpO2 was 80%.
