THIS : Fluid and electrolyte balance is top priority. Fluids can be absorbed rectally, so can be given—small amounts at a time—via enema, if IV is unavailable, or if you are avoiding hospitalization. Is there any way your daughter could get a blood draw to determine her actual sodium and potassium levels?
