There are some really miserable and just plain mean people in this thread. Until you have adult children of your own you will never be able to understand.

You can raise all of your children the exact same way, the right way, but once they are out on their own their circles of influence change. Universities and colleges and the friends they surround themselves with there can turn them into completely different people than what left your home.

Just because they change doesn't mean you don't still love them the same as you always have. You may not like them, their choices or their lifestyles but in your heart the love you feel is the same as when you rocked them to sleep in your arms when they were babies.

I hope your daughter makes a swift recovery OP- and maybe has a change of heart in the process.
