It's hard for the average person to accept that there are "people" that evil. Have you ever told someone about some "conspiracy theory" and got the response "Oh, they would never do that"?

I think it's especially difficult for Americans because we have been shielded from that kind of evil for a very long time.

Our churches have failed us. How often have you heard a preacher talk about Genesis 3:15, the sacrifices to Baal, etc? They've turned Jesus into a pacifist and preach about loving everyone. We've become a society of gullible doormats.

I was fortunate enough to have a good preacher. He used to say the problem with sheep is that they think wolves think like sheep. Unfortunately, we're learning the hard way that isn't so.
