Who wrote that script? In the trailer the POTUS says "what is it you're afraid of?" - and you don't end a sentence with a preposition.

Of course, people that watch NetFlix or salivate over threads such as this don't give a shit about grammar, anyway.

I watched it last night. Horrible fucking movie. DeCaprio totally sucked.

It's gonna be a classic. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
Most critics seem to hate it and that's a good sign.

Yes, they're obviously mocking conservatives. But there's a lot of truth in it too. Maybe more than they meant to convey.

But it was exaggerated - people wouldn't act that way to that degree, but there is a kernel of truth.

It hit all sides just enough to give the impression that it was impartial - but you could tell, especially in the second half of the movie, that it was leftist propaganda that made the left the heroes and the right the bad guys, or stupid guys.

Because at first I was surprised that Netflix would put this out. Then all their propaganda and slams against the right, conservatives, patriots, working class, etc showed up and I was like yep, there's the Netflix I know (and don't love).

"Don't Look Up" is what we are being told today and of course, it means different things to each side of the coin in this game.

It just shows the power of propaganda and how easily led astray so many of us are.

I don't even have netfucks anymore but was kind of forced to watch this on Christmas Eve at my brother's. Dumbest shit ever and the actors literally screamed through the whole movie. Typical nf crap.

I studied English linguistics and let me tell you, all languages (except for dead ones = no active speakers) are subject to constant change. They're fluid and it is us the speakers who decide how to speak our language! Grammar comes after the fact. Grammar is not so much a set of rules as it is a description. You might consider them rules if you're learning a new language but that's not how it works. There have been countless people in the history of the English language who tried to prescribe / dictate how people could speak and what good / bad grammar was. Guess what? They lost each and every time. Using a preposition at the end of the sentence has been normalized and clinging to an old description that is getting less popular with us the speakers as a whole is futile. All you're doing is making yourself suffer by nitpicking other's language.

I got rid of the pedo Netflix a long time ago. From the preview and from the way the globalist elites have been acting - they're mocking us. That's all they do anymore is mock us. They know the gig is up, they know we know about their agendas and they're not even hiding their contempt for us anymore.

Agree. Very entertaining. Making fun of the government and media. Kinda odd coming from the Hollywood whackos. But it was so funny, cause it's true. That's exactly how these two entities would react.

When the president is told that earth will end in 6 months, her first thought is, "Oh shit, the midterms are in three weeks"! Hahahahaha.

He was really bad, and I can tolerate him most of the time. Cool storyline could have been a good movie but his character was just nauseating

I didn't get that at all. It was the government telling you not to look up....If anything and considering our political climate they were pointing the finger as our political leaders as being liars (something we all know) and then you had the obvious leftist inventor who thought of himself as the great savior of mankind....they blasted off to leave the peons behind only to find a new planet in which the inhabitants welcomed the enlightened escapees by EATING THEM!

It portrays an accurate depiction, whilst having a theme of mocking, to not be too obvious

Watch it again, there's a lot to take in.

They were fairly subtle in how they tried to play it, but they lost their discipline by the second half of the movie. There were tons of clues, tropes, imagery and most that weren't even that subtle - making the good guys out to be the left and the bad or stupid guys the right.

Yes, it was sort of a mix, but in the end, overwhelmingly left leaning propaganda with a finger clearly pointing the blame at conservative patriots on the right.

They literally wrote that movie for the one scene where leo flips and starts yelling about how awful the government is and that they are liars, to pretty much wake people up around them.

Unfortunately, the smartest people in my life missed this.
