The Jeopardy! trans conspiracy

Over the past month, the game show Jeopardy! has been "dominated" by a trans individual, Amy Schneider. They've quickly rocketed up the all-time earnings list.

This is not a coincidence.

Consider two things:

A. Alex Trebek passed away a year ago, and with him an entire era of Jeopardy!, where the champions were overwhelmingly white males.
B. This summer, Jeopardy! news was dominated by a scandal in re: a producer apparently taking the hosting job for himself, and being caught making a series of "problematic" statements in the past.

In response, the producers of Jeopardy have arranged for Amy Schneider to triumph over their competitors, building an impressive streak. Their continued victories kills two birds with one stone.
A It shows that the Trebek era is truly over and the era of white male dominance of the game is finished by establishing an easily-marketable, gender-fluid face for the new era.

B. It's also a perfect distraction from the controversy of the past summer. The discussion in re: Jeopardy! is no longer centered over Mike Richards or Ken Jennings or Mayim Bialik; it's the history-making trans champion.

Note that this would be very easy to do: just arrange for the computerized buzzers of Schneider's competitors to react just a millisecond or two longer than theirs. And no one would be the wiser.

The situation is much too neat to be a coincidence.
