The United States has not had lockdowns like other countries. Yes some states have imposed lockdowns. However many states have not. Why has the CDC quarantined and locked down certain areas?

The CDC does have the power to force lockdown and even force vaccinate.

What is the reason they have not done this? Will it come in the future?
