In Feb 2020 I was told by my gastro doctor that I would need to be "intubated" to have my usual scope. I asked her several times to clarify, "You mean, a ventilator? for an endoscope??" and she said "yes". She recommended I wait so I did.

When I called back in May to see if they were "still using ventilators for scopes?" the girl said they were never doing that. She was surprised to hear that the doctor told me that. Anyone else I mention it to just looks at me with confusion. I don't think anyone believed me.
