They haven't entered the building, but there is a large perimeter around the Parliament building which is gated, guarded and where unauthorized access is denied.

They've breached this perimeter and they're now at the door of the Parliament building.

MPs are "blocked" there according to the press.

i talk to Romanians all the time and say what you want.. Romania is quickly turning western.

Good news: MPs no longer put the Nazi Pass bill up for vote today and this is Parliament's last working day before recess (its works set to resume in February)

Bad news: The Gov't will probably try to steamroll the Nazi Pass through by taking political responsibility for it

p.s. A clarification:
The Nazi Pass already exists in Romania, but it's limited to access to large supermarkets, entertainment venues, restaurants etc.

The Nazi Pass that they want to adopt now makes it mandatory for employment (no green pass, no job).

I wish that was the case. It's not.

Gov't can still push the law through by taking responsibility for it.

It's a legal mechanism: gov't says it takes responsibility for a bill getting adopted. If its move to do so is not successfully challenged in Parliament by the opposition, the bill becomes law. If it's successfully challenged, the gov't falls.

But the ruling coalition that backs the current gov't has the absolute majority in Parliament, so if the Gov't decides to push the bill through it won't get successfully challenged in Parliament.

They probably feel ballsy enough to do it, having ample foreign support (EU & US). But nobody knows what happens after that since millions of people will feel squeezed.
