Psalms meditation, Processing/"living out" God's transforming power "warts n all" and praying on Thursday 11/3/22 @ 2:00pm

Praise God for intercessory prayer!

Psalm 109 is about urgent intercessory prayer, for us to stand in the gap in prayer for the people of our countries, and for God to thwart evil and the wicked plans and schemes of the enemy.

What David is praying about in Psalm 109 is for the ploys and schemes of the enemy to backfire onto the enemy. The enemy, intending to ambush and curse others without cause, merely are cursing themselves.

In particular, the causing harm to the weak and helpless, and the shedding of innocent blood is particularly abhorrent to God, as is written in Proverbs 6, amongst the 7 abominations that God abhors.

I like your idea. Let's give it some thought and prayer and some discernment in this thread over a possible psalm again (I find them to be powerful spiritual weapons) and we can post and bump a new one after.

To encourage us, and to remind us the countless ways that we are blessed and to remind us to bring them to mind, especially when we face one tsunami after another of bad news, and to keep worries and anxiety at bay.
