I have heard some rumors from work connections, that there is going to be some sort of partial shut down over the holidays, roughly 2 weeks.

Bamboo paper products are the way to go ... I changed over to Bamboo TP and Paper Towels last year ... they dont have the dust that comes with regular Paper products ...

I like the top off my shopping there with a little sushi role or two, some prosciutto and cheese, and maybe some chicken salad and croissants. Mmmmmm....

I doubt we will lockdown again at least like before but alot of people are talking about it and who knows with the present administration. I mean Biden contradicts himself every time he opens his mouth.

I'm in Florida, and I'm pretty certain that our governor will not have us in lockdown again. He was adamant about that on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria.

I was concerned too. Living on a peninsula, if there's bad weather north of us, trucks might not make it down here. During the lockdown we were without many essential supplies for weeks after others up north had been supplied.

But people prep for hurricanes and storms and such, so prepping and stocking up for Floridians is a kind of natural thing.

That said, I went out to the local Winn-Dixie to top off some preps, and it was PACKED. On a Sunday, that's odd. But it was. While I was there, I picked up more TP and paper towels. Not because I needed them but because they were there. I pick up a multi pack of both once a week, and right now I have plenty.

However, there were not many packages left. Pet food was GONE, even the expensive stuff. No eggs. And I overheard people talking in a hushed whisper, wondering if Biden will lock us down again on Tuesday. That they were topping off supplies just in case. It was so quiet in there with ALL the people in there. No music was playing. It was just dead serious.

I'm not sure, but DeSantis may have blocked the ability for a federal shutdown and a mandate here. I hope so. He said there will be no more lockdowns on that morning show with Maria, so I'm hoping we can take that to the bank.

Florida will likely go a separate direct even if something is incoming, pretty
sure DeSantis will ignore Biden. That said some federal agencies might close down or something along those lines but Florida is kinda the place to be (slightly jealous).

I hope DeSantis can keep protecting us from the federal gov't. Florida truly is a FREE state. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now.

An important question regarding sewage. Most of us are unfortunate enough to be on a sewer vs septic system, so what happens if everyone flushes and power goes out...would sewage backup into homes or do sewage plants have their own septic tanks/fields that would automatically receive the poo?
