We got the same warning from our school district. While Im not worried and I know the risk is close to zero, my 10 year old daughter heard the news and is terrified. Fuck these fucking fuckers that terrorize children. God fucking damn it.

Got an email from the school and the school district today addressing unsubstantiated threats nationwide. Principal said school will open and operate as normal tomorrow and you should feel comfortable attending or sending your child to school. Police have been on-campus all week due to finals & as a precaution due to a possible Sandy Hook copycat.

Can't wait until tomorrow is over. Just hoping now there isn't a self-fulfilling prophecy.

it's actually just creepy as fuck, my wife is a teacher and was telling me today the principle got on the intercom and told students that if they're following the current "tick tock" challenge and are caught taking pictures of peoples feet under the bathroom stall they will be expelled and they need to unfollow these accounts.

Two weeks ago the strap broke on my son's backpack. I gave him a spare backpack of mine to use. I have used that backpack at the gun range, and there were three .45 bullets left in there. They spilled out in class and he was suspended from school for three days, as a matter of policy, even though the principal said he was understanding. I took full responsibility.

The next day the school sent out an email to parents claiming that it was the students bad judgment and making a grandiose deal about no threat to the school.

Two days after he returned to school I was called by the vice principal stating my son was heard making threats against the school. It was absolute bullshit, he never said anything like that. It is not in his nature, he hates guns and I can easily tell if he was lying. He was suspended without cause again after the school claimed it 'investigated' the threat, and they sent a scary email to the parents.

Two days later a cop comes to my door saying there was another threat on social media, snapchat specifically. My kid is 12, and I don't allow him to use those services, and he does not have a phone or tablet. The school sent another scary email to parents, there was a dozen cop cars at school the next day when I dropped off my other son, and half the school was absent.

The threats were all gossip stemming from three loose bullets in a backpack. The school administrators are dumber than the fucking kids spreading bullshit. The cops were the only ones that investigated anything and showed clear judgment, but they have been forced to play along with the fear being spread by our children's educators.

There is an agenda, a social stigma and outright stupididity pushing most of these warnings and intolerant policies even if we do have violence in our schools. Kids are dumb, but their teachers are even dumber. Time to homeschool.
