I hate seeing these right between FL and LaPama, also near the equator. Looks like two 5.0s. Last one was on March 8th which was a 4.8, then before that Feb 27, another 4.8. Not so normal to keep having them there. Usually maybe 4 or so times per year as far as I can remember.

I just was just about to post. They're not showing any quakes for the Canaries or Azores at all today. Strange!

Well the KP index is back down to 3 and we survived. Well I'm still surviving. I wonder how with a massive migraine early this morning and am still fighting it off.

Volcano Discovery had decided there were earthquakes yesterday after all. That's why I don't answer post daily. Sometimes it takes them a day to catch up. Although, there not nearly as many quakes as I thought there might have been. I was sort of expecting to wake up to a load of them.

I came in to check the Canary Island's quake and if
there might be an up-tick in quakes--even a "swarm"
would NOT be a surprise given the KP index hitting
A 7,8 AND 9 over the past 3 or 4 days. Check out
these charts. (I've posted on Storm2Come's thread if
you wish to see how this may be related to solar up-tick
events and some theories.)

on-going about the Northern Lights (reached MISSOURI!)

Article about magma under Teide in Tenerife, which is to the South East of La Palma (2hr ferry). Teide is the highest peak in Spain and the Atlantic at 3,700m or roughly 12,000ft. Everywhere in Tenerife is downstream of Teide because its the peak in the middle of the island.

Back in Tenerife in June for three months, that will include a trip to La Palma this time!
