In Texas, minor children with fatal illnesses are subject to Child Protective Services. Pediatric staff treat the parents as if the parents are allowed to make decisions, but if a parent is determined to go against medical advice, Child Protective Services is called.

My cousin was determined to move her injured daughter (jet ski accident) from the major trauma hospital the care-flight took her to in order to save her life. My cousin wanted the child closer to home. Medical staff started with a kind "We don't recommend that." She pushed until they said, "No. Period." It did not reach the point where security had to be called as my cousin realized she was going with emotion rather than doing what was best for her child.

I had a friend who worked for child protective services. She had to monitor a Type 1 Diabetic mother, home alone all day with a newborn. The mother was required to fax in blood glucose monitoring records to her endocrinologist weekly due to her being the only daytime care-taker of the baby (Hypoglycemia episodes happen easily. The early stage of being in la la land, the next stage of getting violent, and the final stage of going unconscious could be dangerous to the baby.) The mother failed repeatedly to fax in her logs, so my friend had to pay her a home visit and threaten to remove the child before the mother agreed to either follow the requirement or pay an attendant to be with her during the father's working hours. My friend was glad she didn't have to remove the baby, but she could have.

I wanted to tell you the above in case you want to play their game no matter how angry you (and I) feel about them thinking they have a right to do this. The above stories make some sense for child protection while your situation does not, but here in the Twilight Zone things have changed. A CPS invasion of your home could happen regardless of right vs wrong. I am assuming they only want to test her, or check her temperature for a few weeks, and plan to hassle you about that as if they have nothing better to do with their time.

On the other side, playing their game would teach a 16-year-old the wrong thing, so there is that. I would fight as everybody else has said if it were just me. If it involved my kid who was old enough to learn right or wrong, I don't know what I'd do. What is worse for the kid: Giving in to some testing by the monster-controllers, or fighting and maybe not winning?

I don't see how they could take a 16-year-old to temporary foster care for this ridiculous plan of theirs.

I agree this. They probably want her tested and she may have to quarantine for a couple weeks and not attend school. Do you have two bathrooms and can say yall can be separate in the house. It's wrong but as a minor the CPS can get involved and courts will back them if they say you are being neglectful medically. Ignoring them instead of seeing what's up will probably only make them go after you more and maybe get the court involved. That's just my opinion. Just don't be confrontational when you talk to them if they are being reasonable. My son in law had covid and the kids weren't taken only tested.

This. If I don’t recognize a number on my phone or a person at my door, rarely will I answer it. And I NEVER return a call to solicitors, which is all they are. Even if with the state unless they have a court order.

And if they have one, they’d better have a VERY good reason. Because I will most definitely be their worst nightmare (even if they do).

She should be tested for anti-bodies, she's likely already had covid and all if this is just stupid bureaucratic drama.

If you or your kid need to pass Covid tests with negative, gargle with 5% povidone iodine, can also swab a bit of more dilute say 1% into the nose but that gargling will probably be enough. It's sold as 10% so dilute 1:1.

Also and independently, if you take a zinc ionophore daily (for example quercetin) you're very unlikely to get Covid. [link to zstack.vladimirzelenkomd.com (secure)] sells a pill that should protect very well.

This is all absolutely legal, and it's legal for me to tell you. It does not have to be disclosed any more than you disclose if you eat scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Do one or both of these, then ask for a retest if possible. That should get you off the list altogether. But if they monitor, don't be afraid, just quietly prophylax as we've been doing for most of two years now. These things I've said are in no way cheating. They actually do prevent and kill Covid, they don't cover it up.
