That's been the case for awhile. 100% spot on.

Why? It's not his fault the state made theft effectively legal in California. Nor is it his fault that no prosecutor or police will bother with misdemeanors anymore. Many stores even hold a policy of not doing anything at all to stop or report such crimes, so the number of these crimes is much higher than reported. One store raised the price of everything to $951 to make any thefts a chargeable crime and there's a coupon discount available at the checkout for those who want to actually buy the stuff at regular price.

Sajak has always been sarcastic and usually he's pretty funny. His mockery is in bad taste considering those affected most will be hard working average folks and their businesses.
