Re: Life after the Rapture.
The idea of the Rapture did not suddenly begin with Darby, although it was greatly increased in popularity with Darby.
Even if the idea did start with Darby only about 200 years ago, so what?
That would not therefore necessarily mean it is not true.
Scripture itself says people will figure more out as the time grows near:

"But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end;
many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."

Daniel 12:4

But those that hurry to say Darby! Darby! Darby! only reveal their own eagerness simply not to believe it,
simply to say it is not true, simply to dismiss it, and not to delve into it any further..

Prejudice. Pre-determined conclusion.
It is not true and here's why. Ha!
You never allowed or pursued any possibility otherwise.

No surprise. You do not believe Jesus Christ will rescue those He says are the true Christians from the Wrath of God to come upon the unbelieving world.
I did not expect that you would... now.
Maybe later.. Who knows?

Ephraem…??

Seriously? That’s all you’ve got??

 Quoting: Zovalex

No.

That was one in a list.

But anyway, so what?

If aspects of the Apocalypse were not understood 2000 years ago,

they cannot be today?

You don't want to know now.

You only want to refuse and oppose now.

That's OK. Fine. Whatever.

Maybe later...

I've been filling Judethz's threads since his last name...

and others are reading too...

and I know many others have been getting it...

It is no problem for me that you think it is not Biblical.

Is the truth of anything biblical of any concern or problem for you?

Not now... maybe later...

I believe it to be most Biblical.

I believe it to make perfect Biblical sense as part of the conclusion of The Plot.

I believe in God.

I believe in The Bible.

If you don't believe in The Bible, and you do not believe in Jesus Christ,
then you most certainly won't believe that Jesus Christ will rescue away
those that He counts worthy to escape from the horrors of The Revelation.
That would be crazy, right?

There is no “maybe”.

I’ve come to understand the Jesus as depicted in the bible is a fiction.

It is a distortion of the real Jesus, completely divorced from the real man and his actual teachings.

One cannot “unlearn” the Truth once seen.

So there is no “maybe”.

.

My work is done here.

While I realize you will pass from this life without experiencing your beloved Rapture, I would like to believe it’s true so I may wave the whole lot of you goodbye and good riddance.

Just throwing this out there, but you do know that you were never meant to have a canonical gospel don't you?

Read about a man named Marcion. Very interesting figure and quite worthy of your reading. He had some very interesting views about 'the bible' and the old testament 'God'

:blackx: You don't like the subject yet you keep coming back,

now why would that be? I'm in an optimistic mood this morning so I'm hoping that something inside of you is telling you that you had better not ignore the message that this series of threads is giving. It can be hard sometimes to accept that great trouble is coming upon this earth, particularly if you've lived a life when horror, grinding poverty and all manner of other misfortunes happen to people you don't know, several thousands of miles away.
Yet it must be obvious to you that the 'good ole' US of A' ain't what it used to be. In fact that it's like a stage set and ruled by greed and perversion. One day very soon it will all come crashing down and all those who rejected or grew lukewarm towards the Lord will bitterly regret their foolish decision. You have still been blessed with a little time...don't waste it.

When I read through it once, I would not have presumed to barely have but a clue about The Book.

I read it mostly straight through half-a-dozen times in several translations,

before beginning more concentrated studies of one sort or another for another decade,

before more casually but continuously reading it ever since, more or less frequently, for another 20 years

and only now feel minimally capable and competent of grasping the most awesome magnificence of The Word of God The Bible - it really is!

No doubt many of its self-selected representatives have done The Bible some disservice along the way,

which is one reason why I never have had any faith in any men or men's clubs, denominations, or organizations

and why I have never preached anything but that Jesus Christ is True

and read the words of Jesus Christ for yourself.

After the Rapture, and the war that likely accompanies it,

if you are fortunate enough to yet remain among the living

when the man of peace arrives and the whole world marvels at his signs and wonders

then you will want to make sure to refuse the mark...

Well since so much has been bastardized and mistranslated and outright made up and everything is so contradictory, you are left with little choice but to cherry pick. It comes down to what you want to believe in.

I believe that historical Jesus existed. Not the demigod his followers turned him into. I believe he taught a message of hope and how to treat your fellow man and that nothing is impossible. A man who taught that you don't need religion or some 'priest class' to know God. It was a teaching so simple and powerful and scary that he was killed for it.

Re: Life after the Rapture.
I believe Jesus Christ is God come to us as one of us so that we might have some more chance to know Him somewhat better as He really is
and to prove Himself and His Word.

His life and death and very being in every detail is according to the Purpose of His Word.

It can't get any bigger. We can't ever really grasp His Majesty from within our finite and limited skulls...

I believe we are that generation that is alive to see the imminent Fulfillment of the Grande Finale.

I really do believe that.

I've heard it all my life,
mostly from men that are mostly gone now,
but I believe it more than ever
and that we are just that much closer

and I hope and pray that I live long enough

to suddenly be seized and rescued away in an instant by Him.

What a rare and privileged group from all of history that would be.

I hope so.

If not, I believe Him anyway.

You studied the bible and ONLY the bible.

Open your Mind.

Look around you.

The sources and authorities for the REAL Jesus are out there.
