What could possibly be the logic of this?

There is no logic.

One theory is that the shot changes your DNA to alter it so your body and spirit is no long in God's image. They must change your DNA prior to your death so "they" control your soul in the next dimension.

In Revelation when it talks about people wanting to die but can not, perhaps they are talking about unsaved souls knowing that they will not partake in the 2nd death, or wishing they (their soul) could die but cannot. If they were talking about physical death that passage wouldn't make sense.

The absurdity of this is absolutely worth a Monty Python skit.
