Look up celery seed and bitter melon benefits.
Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.

If the more I know, the more I know I don’t know, then do I truly know what I know because I know I don’t?

Thank you for the response. I'm glad your son is doing well. That gives hope, much appreciated. I assume since you say "pills", that he has type 2 diabetes?

Type 1 has no pills that I know of, only two types of injections every day, each with a separate prescription. It's really a completely different thing.

Either way, rest assured we will be following all prescriptions as directed.

What I'm really looking for are tips/options/supplements that the mainstream docs don't know (or know and won't tell).

You are correct. He wears a patch on upper arm 24/7 since he does have Type-1. I was probably to deep into my box wine when I first answered........

I looked at your info and saw you are also in NC! We live in Raleigh and have a second home in Southport!!

A few people who were recently diagnosed type 1 have had some luck with the ideas of Grant Genereux. He has 2 e-books for free online. His theory is that vitamin A overload might cause some cases of autoimmunity.

It has helped me a lot. (I have a different auto-immune issue)

(yes, it is outside the box!)

The more recent the problem, and the younger the person, the quicker this idea will work (IMO)

This is, by no means, a quick fix though. (But if it is the issue nothing else will work)

Ironically, this problem often affects people who have been thinking their diet was so very healthy because it was "high in vitamins"!

If you have too much vitamin C, for example, you can pee it out. Not so with Vitamin A. It's fat soluble and much "stickier".
