Men kinda just want out by the divorce phase. Living conditions be damned.

I've seen divorces that were somewhat amicable and now that we're all in our 50's, both the man and the woman are doing ok.

I've seen divorces where the woman gets the goldmine so to speak and those women end up bitter and hooked on alcohol and prescription drugs and do nothing but complain about how wronged they were. The man was so poor that he had nothing to turn to but his spirituality and he comes out a great person.

These are just my observation from my peer group.

Those of us that stay together and forgive each other do the best. I've known some that have had to forgive some very bad things too.

In my daughters situation it will be because she bought the house prior to marriage. He unfortunately has never grown up: drinks, plays video games incessantly, cusses in front of the small kids, leaves beer cans everywhere, puts her down when drunk, won’t go to counseling because nothing is wrong.

She loved him and wants their family intact but is not willing to live like they are. He can be a good soul and it makes me sad. After the first of the year she is done.

Well seeing how the FEMALE was at with the KID at home while the MAN was at work providing, the JUDGE says naturally MAN, you must give HER the home, PAY HER money to continue the same lifestyle that HE provided HER while together. Leaving HIM with no home, money or KID. Oh and lastly, HIM being the good MAN that he is, he put HER on the house which ultimately was his demise.
