I've never really had a problem with them and they used to never fuck with me. Bug spray can't be good for you. Citronella candles.. do they really work that well? Mossies can't see jack, they only hone in on the carbon exhaled fron your breath. That's all they can see, via infrared, honed to carbon from breath. Eat a clove of garlic, and it acts as a chemtrail, diluting the band visible by the mosquito to the point it thinks nothing there to go towards. |

You're right about the CO2 (carbon dioxide) bit: [link to onlinelibrary.wiley.com (secure)] But what if you don't want to stink of garlic? There are actually commercial CO2 mosquito traps OR You could just burn some incense or leaves like mentioned earlier - fire releases loads of CO2 which will disorient those little bacteria carriers... I live in Ga, there is no help. You can hire a company to spray regularly. You can get a bug zapper. Mosquitoes don't like the sun. They hang out in the shade in the shrubbery during the day waiting for the cool of the evening which is when I go inside. Hope you're not in Florida. They have the biggest mosquitoes I have ever seen in my life. Skin so soft works on no see 'ems (biting nats or sand fleas), no help for mosquitoes sorry. |
