Also China isn't really a true communist country. It's more like state sponsored capitalism.

socialism is a phase between capitalism and communism. I beleive Karl Marx believed capitalism is needed to reach an dend result of communism... and it transitions to socialism and then commmunism. I don't believe any country has actually done this, or at least the 'correct' way according to Marx. So we really don't know if communism could work out and improve people's lives.

But what if socialism can be an end phase? or some sort of mix between capitalism and communism? Both extremes of the spectrum (capitalism and communism seem like they potentially have issues - maybe with the size of a population or uneven distribution of generations based on the birth rates rising and falling).
